FAMILY OWNED & OPERATED

Our reputation as one of the nation’s leading commercial printing and mailing service companies wasn’t earned overnight. For the past 60 years, three generations of the Schumann family have dedicated themselves to making Jack Schumann’s dream of creating a world-class printing and binding company a reality. From its humble beginnings in Jack’s basement, bringing in just enough to stay afloat, Schumann Printers has risen to prominence for its cutting-edge technology, sustainable printing processes, and exceptional customer service.

LEADERSHIP

Since taking over leadership from founder Jack Schumann, Dan and Mark Schumann have worked as a team to continue their father’s legacy of providing every customer with a large printer’s capabilities while maintaining the individual attention of a family-owned business. Thanks to their approachability and genuine interest, Mark and Dan have consistently expanded the loyal customer and employee base established by their father five decades ago.

OUR HISTORY

After working for a Madison, WI, printing company for five years, Jack Schumann came home one evening and told his wife he was ready to be his own boss. Just one person — the president of Fall River Bank — was willing to bet on Jack’s new business. And so, in 1963, Schumann Printers was launched in the basement of Jack’s new Fall River home.

The Schumann’s struggled those first few years, earning barely enough to stay afloat. But Jack’s vision — to utilize the latest in commercial printing technology while also building strong printing partnerships with customers — soon paid off. Today, Schumann Printers employs over 150 employees and operates out of a vast 50 acre campus, just a few miles from where Jack first pursued his American dream.

SUSTAINABILITY

We’ve been on the forefront of sustainable printing practices for years, and our third generation of Schumann leaders are expanding our efforts. From biodegradable coffee packaging to converting all building lights to LED, we’re finding countless ways to make a difference. Our efforts have been recognized by several organizations including Wisconsin’s Focus on Energy Award for developing an HVAC system that recycles the heat from our presses.

We were recently recognized by Industrial Towel and Uniform for pollution prevention and waste reduction. We also use green products, including soy/vegetable-based inks, ecological solvents, and we recycle all scrap paper. Finally, we strive to work with vendors and other partners who share our values.
