SPI Wins at 2024 GLGA Graphics Excellence Awards

We are thrilled to announce that Schumann Printers received three awards at the 2024 Graphics Excellence Awards (GEA) hosted by the Great Lakes Graphics Association (GLGA). The GEA is one of the largest regional printing competitions in the nation, drawing entries from many leading printing companies.

  • 1 Best of Division Awards

    • Architectural/Art/Travel/Other Magazines

Judging Criteria

The judges assessed each entry based on a comprehensive set of criteria, including:

  • Registration and Crossovers: Ensuring precise alignment of images.

  • Clarity and Neatness: Delivering clean, sharp prints.

  • Sharpness of Halftones and Line Drawings: Achieving detailed, high-quality renderings.

  • Richness and Tonal Qualities of Color: Producing vibrant, impactful colors.

  • Paper and Ink Selection: Choosing the best materials for superior results.

  • Ink Coverage: Ensuring smooth, consistent application.

  • Printing Difficulty: Successfully handling complex projects.

  • Effective Contrast or Softness: Striking the right visual balance.

  • Finishing and Bindery: Delivering professional, polished products.

  • Overall Visual Impact: Creating prints that leave a lasting impression.
